Youth Instrument Loan Program

A major issue facing schools and youth musicians today, is having quality instruments on which they can practice and perform. Too many times, kids gave up trying because the quality or disrepair of their instrument made trying to make music harder than it needed to be.   In order to help the kids and make sure we had members to maintain a strop future; we started a Youth Instrument Loan Program.

On October 14th, The Kittanning Firemen’s Band was awarded a generous grant by the Armstrong County Community Foundation and the Richard G and Barbara A Snyder General Charitable Fund to found our Youth Instrument Loan Program. Shown accepting the award are board member Bill Kardos and Director Drew Fennell. The program will allow us to provide quality instruments to youth members to use not only in the band but in their local school music program.
